5 Hardest Bosses in Hollow Knight: Silksong

Hollow Knight: Silksong has over 40 bosses to fight, but only five of these can claim the title of the hardest bosses in the game.

Fighting tough bosses is one of the main selling points of Hollow Knight: Silksong, and it doesn’t disappoint in that regard. There are over 40 bosses you can face in the game (for now), and many of them can easily give players a real run for their money.

However, some of the early game bosses might feel harder because you do not have the necessary Tools to deal with them. This list will break down five of the hardest bosses you can face in Hollow Knight: Silksong.

(Note: This list does take run back and point in time where you fight the boss into account.)

This list of the hardest bosses in no particular order is:

  • Savage Beastfly

  • Last Judge

  • Skarrsinger Karmelita

  • First Sinnner

  • Lost Lace

    1. Savage Beastfly

This flying boss definitely gives a lot of trouble to players during the mid-game. That difficulty is well placed, since the boss is guarding the Beast Crest, which can become extremely strong under the right circumstances.

This boss is also one of the first you might encounter that summons enemies to assist it in battle. However, aside from those additions, the Beastfly itself does not pose too much of a challenge. Once you can get the boss to deal with its own minions, you will likely sail smoothly through the fight.

2. Last Judge

This is one of the first major obstacles players encounter in the late parts of Act 1. You’ll likely struggle for two main reasons:

First, the run back to the boss feels punishing, with plenty of enemies along the way that can easily chip away at Hornet.

Second, the boss itself is fairly tough. However, the death explosion attack catches many players off guard, often leading to a guaranteed death and full reset.

Without the long run back and the explosive death mechanic (which is a bit funny in hindsight), this boss would be much more manageable. But as it stands, the Last Judge will likely give Hollow Knight: Silksong players a hard time for quite a while.
